Pastyx vs PasteNow
PasteNow is a native clipboard tool for macOS and iOS that syncs through iCloud and organizes clips with lists and smart lists; a license is US$7.99. On Apple devices alone it costs less than Pastyx and its iPhone app is already available. Pastyx adds Windows and the web.
Stay with PasteNow if
- You use only Mac, iPhone and iPad and want sync through your own iCloud.
- You need an iPhone app and keyboard extension today (Pastyx for iPhone is still in review).
- You rely on smart lists that sort clips by conditions.
Pastyx may suit you better if
- You also have a Windows PC and want one history shared with your Mac.

Moving from PasteNow to Pastyx
- Install Pastyx (7-day trial on Mac and Windows). It starts recording what you copy from the moment it is installed. The Windows installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen shows a warning; choose More info › Run anyway.
- Run both for a while. Pastyx can’t import PasteNow’s history directly at the moment.
- In PasteNow, copy the list items you still need once more; Pastyx records each copy.
- Create matching pinboards in Pastyx and add the clips you just captured.
- Sign in from Settings if you want the history on several devices; without it the history stays on this computer.
